Best R6 Operators: What Top Players Actually Pick
The best R6 operators are hard to pin down with opinion alone, so this guide starts from data instead. We took the operator stats of players on the current PC top 100 whose stats are already stored on SiegeRadar, added up their rounds on every operator, and looked at which attackers and defenders they play the most, how often they win those rounds and what K/D they hold.
The short answer: on attack, Ash, Twitch and Dokkaebi are the most played picks in our sample. On defense, Lesion leads, with Goyo, Vigil and Sentry behind. The rest of this page shows the numbers, how we got them, and where the data stops being useful.
How we built this list
A tier list is usually one person's opinion. This page is not that. Here is exactly what we used:
- Players: the four players who are on the PC top 100 on 23 October 2026 and whose operator stats were already cached on our server: feno.rebels (#1, 8,455 RP), Mingo.BALRlGHT (#5, 7,024 RP), Riccicapo (#38, 5,967 RP) and Stompn.G2 (#78, 5,683 RP). Positions come from the PC leaderboard on that date.
- Stats: each player's operator stats as stored on 14 October 2026 (feno.rebels) or 18 October 2026 (the other three). These cover all seasons and all game modes, so they are career numbers, not this season only.
- Method: for every operator we added up the rounds played, rounds won, kills and deaths across the four players. Win rate is rounds won divided by rounds played. K/D is kills divided by deaths. We also counted how many of the four players have that operator in their personal top 5 on that side.
We used no extra API lookups for this article. Everything came from data the site had already loaded for these profiles.
Two limits matter a lot. First, four players is a small sample. Second, feno.rebels has played 29,249 of the 52,411 rounds in it, about 56%, so their habits weigh more than anyone else's. Treat the tables as a look at what strong PC players lean on, not as a ranking of every operator.
Best attackers in R6, by top player picks
| Attacker | Rounds | In top 5 of | Win rate | K/D |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Ash | 3,245 | 3 of 4 | 57.8% | 1.53 |
| Twitch | 2,486 | 3 of 4 | 57.3% | 1.67 |
| Dokkaebi | 1,950 | 3 of 4 | 56.9% | 1.46 |
| Deimos | 1,616 | 2 of 4 | 52.6% | 1.27 |
| Iana | 1,341 | 1 of 4 | 48.2% | 1.35 |
| Solid Snake | 1,292 | 1 of 4 | 56.9% | 1.49 |
| Lion | 1,053 | 1 of 4 | 57.2% | 1.39 |
| Nomad | 1,015 | 0 of 4 | 58.4% | 1.53 |
Ash is the clearest result. She is the most played attacker overall and sits in the top 5 of three of the four players. Her rounds are also spread out: feno.rebels, Mingo.BALRlGHT and Stompn.G2 each have hundreds of rounds on her. In our game data she is a 1-health, 3-speed operator with the Soft Breach, Flank and Front Line roles.
Twitch has the best K/D of the top attackers here at 1.67, but most of her rounds come from one player: Mingo.BALRlGHT has 1,833 of the 2,486. She still appears in three top-5 lists, so it is not a one-player pick, but the total is pulled up by one main.
Dokkaebi is the third pick that three of the four players share. She is a fast, 1-health operator with intel roles in our data, and she received a rework in Y11S2 (System Override), so career numbers mix her old and new versions.
Deimos and Solid Snake are worth a note because they are recent. Deimos was added in Y9S1 and Solid Snake in Y11S1, so their round counts built up in a shorter time than Ash or Twitch, who have been in the game since launch.
One operator to read with care is Iana. Almost all of her rounds here come from feno.rebels, who has her as their most played attacker, yet her win rate in this sample is the lowest on the list at 48.2%. A low win rate on one player's main does not make an operator bad. It can just as well reflect the rounds and roles that player takes on.
Best defenders in R6, by top player picks
| Defender | Rounds | In top 5 of | Win rate | K/D |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lesion | 2,045 | 3 of 4 | 65.6% | 1.58 |
| Goyo | 1,709 | 1 of 4 | 66.6% | 1.87 |
| Vigil | 1,633 | 1 of 4 | 67.4% | 1.86 |
| Sentry | 1,404 | 2 of 4 | 69.7% | 2.06 |
| Azami | 1,318 | 2 of 4 | 64.0% | 1.51 |
| Mute | 1,181 | 1 of 4 | 68.0% | 1.64 |
| Smoke | 1,154 | 2 of 4 | 65.8% | 1.55 |
| Ela | 1,105 | 0 of 4 | 70.7% | 1.67 |
Lesion is the only defender in three of the four top-5 lists, and he is feno.rebels' most played operator on either side. Our game data gives him the Trap, Intel Gatherer and Roam roles, among others.
Goyo and Vigil rank high on rounds, but each is a top-5 pick for only one player (Mingo.BALRlGHT in both cases). Sentry, Azami and Smoke are in two top-5 lists each. Sentry has the highest K/D of the defenders in the table at 2.06.
You will notice that every defender win rate in the table is well above every attacker win rate. That holds for these four players across all modes. We would not read it as proof that defense is easier in general. It is a small sample of very strong players, and it mixes ranked with other modes. We will look at the attack and defense split in more depth in a separate guide.
This season: two PC players in Y11S3 ranked
Career numbers include years of older seasons. For a look at the current season, we also had ranked-only Y11S3 (Split Fire) operator stats cached for two more PC players, Beaulo and thaqil, stored on 18 October 2026. Together they have 1,970 ranked rounds this season.
| Operator | Side | Rounds | Win rate | K/D |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vigil | Defense | 110 | 58.2% | 1.47 |
| Dokkaebi | Attack | 109 | 46.8% | 1.45 |
| Ash | Attack | 102 | 56.9% | 1.83 |
| Solis | Defense | 101 | 62.4% | 1.43 |
| Maverick | Attack | 99 | 52.5% | 1.48 |
| Lion | Attack | 88 | 53.4% | 1.10 |
| Noor | Defense | 85 | 57.6% | 1.37 |
| Valkyrie | Defense | 80 | 70.0% | 2.28 |
Dokkaebi and Ash show up again, which lines up with the career table. Both players have Dokkaebi in their top 5 this season. Noor is new: Noor joined the game in Y11S3 and is thaqil's most played defender this season with 76 rounds. With under 2,000 rounds from two people, this table is a snapshot of two players' habits, not a season-wide pick rate.
What this means for your own picks
The data above tells you what strong players choose. It does not tell you what will work best for you. Some points that follow from the numbers, and some that are our opinion:
- Picks that several top players share are a safer bet. Ash, Dokkaebi and Lesion each appear in three of four top-5 lists. When different strong players land on the same operator, that is a better signal than one player's main.
- K/D and win rate depend on the player. In this sample, Deimos has a 1.19 K/D for feno.rebels and 1.69 for Stompn.G2. Your numbers on an operator say as much about your role as about the operator.
- Opinion: if you are learning, pick one attacker and one defender from the tables and stick with them for a while. Many rounds on a few operators give you more useful stats than a handful of rounds on twenty.
- Opinion: fast, 1-health attackers like Ash and Dokkaebi punish mistakes. If you die early a lot, a 2-health operator from the list may suit you better. The operators page shows health and speed for every operator.
How to check your own operator stats
You can run the same check on yourself:
- Search your name on the SiegeRadar home page.
- Open the Operators tab on your profile. It lists every operator you have played with rounds, win rate, K/D, headshot % and time played, and you can filter by attack or defense and sort by any column.
- Compare your win rate and K/D on your most played operators with the tables above.
If you want to see what a change in kills or deaths would do to your K/D, the K/D calculator works it out. The how our stats work page explains where the numbers come from, and the R6 ranks guide covers how much RP each rank needs.
FAQ
What are the best R6 operators right now?
In our sample of four PC top 100 players, the most played attackers were Ash, Twitch and Dokkaebi, and the most played defender was Lesion. This is based on their career stats stored in October 2026, not a full tier list.
What is the best attacker in R6?
In our data, Ash had the most rounds of any attacker (3,245) and was in the personal top 5 of three of the four top 100 players we looked at.
What is the best defender in R6?
Lesion had the most defender rounds in our sample (2,045) and was the only defender in three of the four players’ top-5 lists.
Is this an official R6 tier list?
No. SiegeRadar is not affiliated with Ubisoft. This page is built from the operator stats of a small set of top PC players, and we explain the method and its limits above.
How is operator win rate calculated?
Win rate here is rounds won divided by rounds played on that operator. For several players combined, we add up all their rounds and wins first.
